Alison Carroll is an English model, professional gymnast and actress. At age 7, Carroll began studying gymnastics to pursue a dream of becoming a teacher for Physical Education. At age 12, Alison Carroll joined the Shirley Gymnastics Club while attending the Edenham High School.

After graduating from high school, Alison Carroll became a certified Club Coach in gymnastics and acrobatics, teaching junior gymnastics and developing choreography for the junior team’s routine which helped the team win the British National Championships. During this time, Alison Carroll also participated in various gymnastic events, attending in annual festivals such as the Cardiff Festival, Birmingham Ministrada, Inverness Festival, Portugal World Ministrada, Edinburgh Festival and London Festival.

Alison Carroll also performed at the annual Liverpool British Championships and wowed Prince Charles after performing at a special event at Westminster Abbey.

Throughout 2006, Alison Carroll appeared on over a dozen musical stage productions, including “A Chorus of Disapproval,” “The Squeeze,” “Silas Marner,” “Cabaret,” “Watch This Space,” “Roar” and “Moby Dick.”

While she was teaching at Shirley Gymnastics Club and working as a receptionist in a London-based golf club, Alison Carroll attended a casting call for the next “Lara Croft” international model. After competing with hundreds of hopefuls, Alison officially replaced the then-Lara Croft Karima Adebibe at the official public announcement on August 11, 2008.

Since landing the coveted Lady Croft gig, Alison Carroll underwent strict physical training to prepare for her job as the archeological adventurer. Although Alison Carroll is the first Lara Croft model with trained gymnastics and acting skills, she trained with combat, SAS survival and semi-automatic weapons training. Alison also studied world archeology and traveled to Singapore, Dubai, South Africa and Germany throughout 2008 to promote the game “Tomb Raider: Underworld.” In other promotional work, Alison also appeared on TV commercials and talk shows.

In 2007, Alison Carroll worked for Pepsi’s Max brand. She has also been featured on magazines such as T3 Singapore, Maxim and Waves Surfing magazine, among others.

In 2009, Alison Carroll appeared in her first film role in the British zombie-themed comedy movie “Doghouse,” which was released on June 12, 2009. Also in 2009, Alison Carroll landed the leading role in the British movie “Life is an Art.” She will also appear in the movie entitled “The Kid.” Carroll also announced on her website in October 2009 that she won a role on the upcoming British feature film “Gridiron UK.”
